The national team's journey towards the European Championships this summer has just begun with this year's first gathering in the Algarve, Portugal.

The squad includes two really experienced players: Caroline Seger with her 213 A-national matches and goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl with her 181.

Lindahl had intended to quit the national team after the Olympic silver in Japan, but changed shortly afterwards.

When SVT Sport asks her about a possible continuation after the European Championships, she does not even have the answer herself.

- I really do not know.

European Championships this summer yes, but then I actually do not know what happens to football life.

My dad asked what happens to football life and I replied that I do not know, so you get the same answer he got, she says and laughs.

"Freedom is a lot I think about"

But once you decide to quit, do you think you want to stay in the world of football then?

- I have thoughts about everything possible but I think I probably need to stay in the world of football a bit to be realistic.

This is where I have all my experience, she says and continues:

- A big dream I have is to be able to run a company.

Freedom is a lot I think about.

Freedom to steer your passion and energy in the direction you want.

SVT Sport broadcasts the Algarve cup starting Friday against Denmark 18.00 in SVT2 and Play.
