Valieva won the European Championships in Tallinn a month ago after improving her own world record in the short program, a point she was close to when the Russian team won the team competition on Monday.

The award ceremony has been postponed pending Valieva's status.

She tested positive for the heart medicine trimetzadin during a test already on December 25, but it was not fully analyzed by a Stockholm lab until February 8, the day after the team competition.

The delay must have been due to the pandemic, among other things.

The card program starts already on Tuesday

A three-person Cas panel has now questioned Valieva with the help of interpreters via a video link from a hotel in Beijing behind closed doors.

Valieva has trained as usual in the face of an ever-increasing media presence, but has not yet said a word about it.

The ladies' individual program starts on Tuesday, February 15.

- Kamila is a strong girl, says the Russian ice dancer Nikita Katsalapov who is involved and supports her during the process according to AP.
