Monday February 14 – Day 10
The French on the menu
After a prosperous Sunday (three medals including Quentin Fillon Maillet's second title), we are still waiting for gold this Monday.
Four years after the affair of the dress which had deprived them of the coronation, Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron are not far from reaching the goal.
In the lead after the short program, world record as a bonus, the French duo will skate with a huge favorite sign behind their backs during the freestyle.
Not always easy to wear, but the duo is on a mission in Beijing, so...
Beaten by the Chinese Eileen Gu in Big Air, Tess Ledeux will try to take her revenge in slopestyle.
The two rivals find themselves in qualifications postponed for a day due to snow, while the final is scheduled for Tuesday.
Bobsleigh fans, don't miss the continuation of Margot Boch's epic (monobob), 10th after two runs, and the entry into the running of the pair Dorian Hauterville – Romain Heinrich (two-man bob).
Finally, snowboarder Lucile Lefevre, 27th in slopestyle, will compete in the last event of her career in Big Air.
The star of the day
Seen from France, the men's team ski jumping event will not unleash passions.
And yet, a legend slips into this competition: Simon Ammann will undoubtedly say goodbye to the Olympics after a long and glorious career.
At 40, the Swiss is playing in his seventh Games, a record in his country.
And he won four gold medals (two in Salt Lake City in 2002, two more in Vancouver in 2010).
Inevitably, his good years are far behind this strange bird, 25th in each of his individual events in Beijing.
But it's not every day that you say goodbye to a sports legend.
