Tomorrow.. the start of the Emirati amateur race in the Salam Cycling Championship

Tomorrow, the second fiftieth year of the UAE amateur race will start, as part of the sixth edition of the Al Salam Cycling Championship, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and organized by the Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum - Procurement and financing.

The organizing committee revealed the completion of the registration procedures for 100 contestants in the race, including 20 who achieved the first places in the first race that was held at the beginning of the current season, and at that time witnessed Ahmed Al Marri win first place, Ibrahim Al Ali came second and Saeed Al Balushi in third place.

The organizing committee completed all the arrangements for the race by adopting the track, which is 137 km in length, in the Salam area in the Al Marmoom Nature Reserve in Dubai.

The organizing committee is also making arrangements for the elite women's race, which will be held on the following day, Monday 14th of this month, for a distance of 124 km in the Seih Al Salam area as well.

The organizing committee set the race track for a distance of 137 km for the second fiftieth year of the Emirati amateur race, which contributes to raising the level of competition and providing a distinctive addition by passing through various areas of the Al Marmoom Reserve, while ensuring the safety of participants throughout the race.

Omair bin Jumaa Al Falasi, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee, confirmed the full readiness to hold two consecutive races within 48 hours, thanks to the efforts of the work teams and national cadres included in the championship, which gained accumulated experience over the six editions of this championship.

It is scheduled to complete the sixth edition of the Peace Championship after that, with the second desert race of the fiftieth year for Emiratis and residents on the 17th of this month.
