Frida Karlsson went out on the third relay route together with Norway and Finland.

Initially, the trio went hard to catch up with Russia and Germany, who have left.

But after about half the distance, the Swede croaked - really.

Finland's Kerttu Niskanen put in a jerk in the last hill and Norway hung on.

But Karlsson could not answer.

She lost a full 20 seconds up to the medal.

- It is more or less a breakthrough, says Discovery's expert Peter Larsson.

On the last leg, Jonna Sundling caught up with Finland and Norway.

Then she could sprint home the bronze.

National team manager Anders Byström was pleased with the bronze money.

- It's great fun with a medal, that was the goal today.

After the third leg it felt a bit heavy, but Jonna does a giant leg.

I think we should be satisfied, says national team manager Anders Byström in Radiosporten.

He insists that it was a completely correct team selection, despite the fact that Frida Karlsson was finished during the two previous races in the championship.

- Frida has been our second best distance skier, so there are no strange things.

She did great and really fought.

All four have done very well.

She was very quiet on the last hill, but she fought.
