A fatal goal saves Zamalek from a heavy defeat at home in the African Champions League

Egyptian international defender Mahmoud Hamdi "Al Wensh" led his team, Zamalek, to a valuable draw with Petro Atletico of Angola, on Saturday, at Cairo Stadium, in the first round of the African Champions League competitions.

At a time when Zamalek was 1-2 late, Al Wensh secured the deadly goal for Zamalek in the 94th minute after taking advantage of a cross from Ahmed Aboul Fotouh.

Petro Atlético was the first to score in the 22nd minute through Jellison, as he singled out goalkeeper Mohammed Abu Jabal and put it in the net. The guests added the second goal in the 35th minute from a cross that reached Victor Pedro on the outskirts of the area and hit it in the net, taking advantage of not being subjected to any supervision.

Zamalek is in third place, equal with Petro Atletico with one point, while Moroccan Wydad Casablanca tops the group with three points, and Sagrada is bottom of the group without points.
