Swedish skating star Nils van der Poel has lived up to expectations during the Beijing Olympics.

First he picked gold in the 5000 meters and today it was a new one when he set a world record and won the double distance.

After today's intervention, van der Poel was interviewed by Radiosporten and in the middle of the conversation, Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson called.

She congratulated him on the victory and told of his great nervousness when he got a wrong cut at the end of the race.

- I almost had a heart attack, you hear the Prime Minister jokingly say in Radiosporten.

van der Poel's answer?

- Nice that you did not get one, because we need you.

The conversation continued with the caster being asked how the gold is celebrated.

- I have ordered a cake, but the thing in the Olympic village is that you do not get a victory cake but you get a birthday cake.

So now I have my birthday twice in a week if you ask the dining room staff, says van der Poel and laughs.
