Mai Dubai is a sponsor of the "Dubai Tennis Championships"... and Murray participates in an invitation card

Mai Dubai, the bottled drinking water company wholly owned by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, has announced the signing of a partnership agreement with the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2022 as the official water sponsor of the tournament for the third year in a row.

The tournament will start on the 14th of this month and continue on the 26th of this month.

The tennis tournament attracts some of the world's best players and players, with winner and defending champion Garbine Muguruza, two-time champion Simona Halep, Elena Svitolina and Petra Kivota participating in the women's category, as well as 2019 title winner Belinda Bencic.

On the other hand, a group of prominent players, including Novak Djokovic, Aslan Karatsev, Andrei Rublev, Denis Shapovalov, and former champion Roberto Bautista Agut, will participate in the men's category, which will start on the 21st of this month.

The tournament also revealed that Andy Murray, the former world number one and holder of the championship in 2017, joined the list of players participating in this year's edition, after obtaining a wild card invitation in the tournament without having to participate in the qualifying qualifiers for its competitions.

The Olympic champion returns to Dubai for the first time since winning the title five years ago.

It is worth noting that the two-time Wimbledon champion was awarded the Order of the British Empire in the New Year's Honor Roll set by Queen Elizabeth in December 2016 in honor of his services in tennis and charitable work, in addition to the Order of Knighthood by Prince Charles in 2019.
