Recently, a reporter in the Liaoning Provincial Library had the honor to see two ancient books. Through the articles in them, it can be seen that ice and snow activities have become a Chinese national custom a hundred years ago.

  [Explanation] In the Liaoning Library, there are two very precious ancient books, namely "Yanjing Sui Ji Ji" and "Ji Ding Sun Xia Jiu Wen Kao". Both ancient books were written in the Qing Dynasty, and there are also separate books. The chapter describes the scene of people playing ice at that time.

Among them, in the book "An Examination of Old News under the Imperial Sun", there is also a poem "Twelve Rhymes of Imperial Taiye Ice Play" written by Qianlong himself, which describes ice play activities as a national custom.

  The first line of this ice-playing poem written in the eleventh year of Qianlong said, "Chen Guosu according to the time", that is, in winter, it is about some national customs of winter activities.

Then it records the motion on the ice, like the "proposed string urging arrow" that is to say, the motion on the ice is swift and fast, like this bow and arrow off the string.

  [Explanation] In addition to the ice play with the royal family and the children of the Eight Banners, in "Yanjing Sui Ji Ji", it also records how ordinary people played ice play in Beijing at that time.

  It is recorded that in the early Qing Dynasty, there was a good person in Jishuitan in Beijing. He connected more than a dozen ice beds together, carrying this Dulan wine set, and drinking on the ice for pleasure. This can also be regarded as a In the ancient Lanting event in the northern winter, you can imagine that drinking, reciting poetry, and composing poetry is also an elegant event in the northern winter.
