Korea and Hungary, which are in the same situation as the 'victim of the short track bias judgment', have joined hands.

Korea and Hungary, which suffered damage from an incomprehensible decision in the men's 1000m short track event at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, have agreed to cooperate for the remainder of the tournament.

The Korea Sports Association said, "The Hungarian Olympic Committee Chairman and Secretary-General visited the Korean team at the short track stadium on the 9th to talk with Chairman Ki-Heung Lee and expressed their sympathy for unfair judgments." We have decided to cooperate,” he said today (11th).

Korea's Daeheon Hwang (23rd Gangwon Provincial Office) and Junseo Lee (22nd Korea National University of Sports) crossed the finish line in the men's 1000m short track semifinals held on the 7th, respectively, as 1st and 2nd place respectively, but were disqualified for ignorant reasons that they obstructed their course.

As a result, coincidentally, all of the Chinese players got an advantage and made it to the finals.

The controversy over bias judgment continued in the finals.

Hungarian Shao Lin Sandor Liu came in first, but she was also disqualified for interfering with her path.

With such a decision, the gold medal went to China's Ren Ziwei, who blatantly grabbed the Hungarian's Shaolin's body just before passing the final.

The Korean and Hungarian people who watched the match were outraged, saying that they suffered a loss in China's biased judgment.

During a video conference with the International Skating Federation (ISU) president on the 9th, Lee Ki-heung, president of the Korea Sports Council and Yoon Hong-geun, president of the Korean team, strongly demanded to prevent recurrence, saying, "This is an obviously biased decision. We will closely monitor the results of the remaining races."

The Hungarian Ice Skating Federation and the Hungarian Olympic Committee also announced on the same day that they had requested the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to review the men's 1000m final and to investigate the ethics of the referee.

Meanwhile, from 8pm tonight at Beijing Capital Indoor Stadium, the women's short track women's 1000m quarterfinals, short track men's individual 500m preliminary rounds, and men's relay 5000m semifinals will be held.
