Choi Min-jeong (Seongnam City Hall), the sign of the women's short track team, gave the Korean team the third medal at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Choi Min-jung recorded a time of 1:28.443 in the women's 1,000m short track track at the Beijing Olympic Stadium in Beijing, China today (11th), 0.052 seconds behind Schuzaner swiping (Netherlands, 1:28.391). It was pushed to second place.

This is the third time Korea has won a medal in this competition, following men's 1,500m speed skating Min-seok Kim (Seongnam City Hall, bronze) and short track men's 1,500m Hwang Dae-heon (Gangwon Provincial Office, gold medal).

Choi Min-jung, who started in 4th place out of 5 players, took the 4th place by aiming for the in-course with 6 laps of the finish line.

He performed his specialty, the out-course sprint, ahead of two laps of the finish line.

Choi Min-jung did her best to speed up, and the fight for the rankings was fierce.

In the midst of this, as Christine Santos (USA) and Arianna Fontana (Italy) in front of them got tangled and fell, Choi Min-jung rose to second place.

Choi Min-jung followed the swheeling with all her might in the last corner and crossed the finish line by pushing the blade.

Swheeling won the gold medal with a time of 1:28.391.

Belgian Haner Desmott (Belgium) won the bronze medal.

Choi Min-jung, who won two gold medals at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, was eliminated from the preliminary round when teammate Jang-hyeok Park (Sports Toto) fell in the 2,000m mixed relay.

After the match, Choi Min-jung shed tears at her disappointment that she missed her gold medal by 0.052 seconds.

However, despite allegations of bias against her, her skills earned her her first medal in this competition.
