On the night before Thursday, Swedish time, the journey started towards a new gold for Team Hasselborg.

The Swedes turned around and got a comfortable victory with 8-5 against the Olympic three from 2018, Japan.

On Thursday afternoon, Swedish time, a few hours later, it was time again.

Team Hasselborg took on Great Britain.

Nightmare round

The match started tentatively and after three rounds it was 1-1.

But in the fourth round, the British skipper Muirhead stood for a really good stone and got rid of both Swedish stones, which meant four points to Great Britain and the position 5-1 before the fifth round.

When half the match was played, it was 6-1 to the British.

Sweden tried to catch up, but chose to give up after the seventh round.

Great Britain won 8-2.
