After the KHL finished the basic series in anticipation of the playoffs, Marek Hrivik has been rumored to be on his way back to Leksand.

Hrivik belongs to Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod who missed the playoffs and may be eligible for a return to the SHL.

The Slovak is currently in China to play the Olympics but has himself opened for a return to Leksand.

So does Leksand's sports director Thomas Johansson.

- He is an exceptional player.

It is a player who knows Leksand and who knows what he is getting into.

Should Marek knock on our door, we would not say no, but it is not that simple and he is in an agreement with another club, Johansson says to SVT Sport.

Johansson also says that Leksand has had contact with Hrivik during "the whole autumn" but that that dialogue has "been more like friends than a recruitment campaign".

- We like Marek and Marek likes Leksand.

If he feels he is done in Russia, we would have been a good alternative for him.

He knows Leksand's position and we have been discussing this for a long time.

Marek knows what we feel, think and want to do, says Johansson.

You can see a longer interview with Thomas "Tjomme" Johansson in Hockey Night tonight.
