The French on the menu

Far be it from us to want to jinx our Olympic France, but if there is to be a more or less certain medal, it will be to be found in biathlon.

The French will be on the track for the women's sprint (7.5 km).

Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet will try to slam a second Olympic medal in this race against the clock, which is certainly less demanding on the nerves than the individual, but where her slight shortcomings on the skis can be felt.

Conversely, Justine Braisaz, a real war machine on the track, has every interest in minimizing the damage on the launch pad to get a result.

We will also be watching Julia Simon and Nanasse Bescond.

A little earlier in the night, Tessa Worley will line up the Super-G, not necessarily the discipline where she shines the most.

But who knows if, with less pressure compared to the giant and the relaxation that results from it, it is not capable of surprising us.

Finally, at the start of the morning, Richard Jouve, Maurice Manificat – for whom this is certainly the last Games – and Hugo Lapalus will appear as outsiders in the 15 km classic, where Johannes Klaebo is eagerly awaited.

The star to follow

Is it possible to practice quality snowboarding with three Olympic gold medals around the neck?

Shaun White is here to prove yes.

The American, who was very scared during the qualifications by falling in particular during the first run, will have to surpass himself this time if it is necessary to add a new medal to his list of hunters.

Because opposite, the competition is tough: Ayumu Hirano, Yuto Totsuka, or the Australian Scotty James seem ahead.

“I'll be ready for the finals and I'll fight too,” promises the American all the same.
