Slovak star Petra Vlhova was "only" eight after the first slalom race.

Despite that, she managed to win.

One who could really have challenged was the Swede Sara Hector.

She was third before the second run and led big when she branched out.

- She drove to get a gold.

There was nothing else to say about that ride.

It was a pretty strong branch at the end of the hill when she was terribly well.

It's hard, says expert Tobias Hellman.

Slalom is not really Hector's showpiece, but she is in great shape and the equipment works well in Beijing.

- Here it would have been a surprise that would have liked to come.

But this is slalom, says Hellman.

Anna Swenn Larsson finished ninth after climbing two places in the second run.

- It was a bit tough for Anna Swenn Larsson.

It was a second run with a few small misses.

She was not really in shape.

Getting the skis to work well against the snow has been crucial in Beijing.

- It has been difficult to get to the settings.

Vlhova has not really ridden so compliantly, you can see that the skis get a little stuck sometimes.

But she is still so strong that she can hold it together and take the gold.
