The new team is called Stockholm Hearts.

- We riders in Team H&M have for a long time dreamed of forming a team together for the Global Champions League.

Now we have managed to create a real Dream Team with six fantastic riders, which is incredibly big for us, says world setter and reigning GCT champion Peder Fredricson in a press release.

In 2021, Peder Fredricson, as the second Swede in history, won the overall in the Global Champions Tour and together with his then team, he also secured the overall victory in GCL, the team competition.

Malin Baryard Johnsson also had a great GCT season, both individually and as a team, with, among other things, a Grand Prix victory in Rome.

Now she is looking forward to the upcoming season with her new team.

- I believe and hope that we will have a good chance to perform at the top during the season, says Malin Baryard Johnsson in a press release.

Six riders in each team

The Swedish world stars and Olympic gold medalists Peder Fredricson and Malin Baryard-Johnsson form teams together with the Belgians Nicola and Olivier Philippaerts, who have had the same sponsor as the Swedes for several years.

The newly formed team also rides the American Lillie Keenan and the British U25 rider Lily Attwood.

- Being part of the new team with the world set feels very exciting ahead of the season.

We have a very strong team and I think Lily Attwood is one of the best U25 riders in Europe, says Olivier Phillipaerts on GCL's website.

The trio Malin Baryard Johnsson, Peder Fredricson and Olivier Philippaerts will ride the season premiere in Doha the first week of March.
