IOC announced that the official awards ceremony for the figure skating team event, which was scheduled to be held on the night of the 8th, has been postponed due to 'legal issues'.

[Mark Adams/IOC Spokesperson: This is an urgent issue today.

We are seeking legal advice from the International Skating Federation.]

Inside the Games, an Olympic media outlet, reported that this 'legal issue' is related to doping tests conducted by Russian athletes ahead of the Olympics.

It is unknown which players were involved, but USA Today reported that four Russian players, including Balieva, were unfortunately absent from training today.

In particular, the male single Kondratiuk, who is about to start free skating tomorrow, is not visible, raising suspicions.

In the team event, Russia took the lead with 16-year-old figure skating genius Balieva, followed by the United States and Japan in second place.

If Russia is stripped of the gold medal, Canada, which placed fourth, will take the bronze medal.

Russia has been sanctioned for a number of illegal drug use in the past, so it has not been able to use the name of Russia in the recent Olympics, and is competing under the name of the Russian Olympic Committee or ROC.
