Many had probably counted on a Swedish Olympic medal immediately when the cross-country competitions began on Saturday.

That did not happen.

Despite the fact that Frida Karlsson was second for a long time, she was "only" fifth, as the best Swede.

"Different factors"

Now, four days later, she talks about how tired she was after the race, and that she fainted.

- I woke up when they poured juice in my mouth, she says, according to Aftonbladet.

- I think it was different factors that came into play.

It was the cold, I had had a high tension that released a little and so I was empty.

I had taken myself hard.

"It's a superpower"

She sees that she can get so tired as a positive trait.

- I can get out.

It is a superpower I have, she says and continues:

- I have fainted before when I finished and recovered very well.

I have experience from that too.

"I was a little nervous"

Now she hopes for a better result in the 10 km classic, which is the next branch.

- I was a little nervous before the skiathlon race.

I'll be honest and say that.

Now I stand more here and feel an expectation of putting on the number tag, she says, and laughs:

- Maybe I needed to faint a little.

Or I needed to lower my shoulders.

Now the tension is blown away.

Just go out and have fun.
