In response to Hwang Dae-heon's disqualification, the American NBC broadcast commentators also responded that it was an incomprehensible decision.
NBC broadcaster Catherine Adamek described Hwang Dae-heon's movements as "skating like something out of a textbook" and "there was no contact."
NBC's Ted Robinson said, "I didn't think the video was necessary," he said. "It's a world-class overtaking."
When the disqualification was declared, the two commentators, who did not speak for a while, said, "Wow," and said, "It is a shocking result."
