The National Media Authority in Egypt decided to refer broadcaster Hossam Haddad to investigation and suspend him from work, for what he did today, Tuesday, on the “Good Morning Egypt” program broadcast on Channel One.

But the announcer retracted what he had mentioned, and said in an official statement that he apologized for what he had done, indicating that he encourages Al-Ahly club and that he hides his love and affiliation with the Red Castle, and that he did not mean to offend.
The announcer of the “Good Morning Egypt” program wrote on his official Facebook page that he has read and reads what is written, respects and listens to constructive opinions.
The announcer added: "First of all, I am a fan of Al-Ahly since my childhood. I love the club and encourage it and respect its symbols and stars. I have never hidden my affiliation with Al-Ahly, and for those who want, a small research proves this."
He continued, “Secondly, I am with every Egyptian club that plays against any foreign club with my heart and mind, and this is what I have always called for, and today I added to it that the fans have the right to encourage whoever they want from clubs, and this is the ABC of football, emphasizing the necessity of national alignment behind the team in Our matches with Senegal are in the World Cup qualifiers.”
And the announcer pointed out: “It is strange for me that the day comes when I have to clarify my support for Al-Ahly Club in particular, or for any Egyptian club that meets an external team in general, but due to my concern for the feelings of all those concerned, I apologize if the expression betrayed me, so I carried the folds of my words unless I meant.”
Haddad concluded by saying: “May you be well and all the success for Al-Ahly Club today in its match, and let us add a new cup and a new medal for all of Egypt.”
Egyptian journalist Hani Hathout sympathized with him, and wrote on his Twitter account: "True words, or in a more accurate sense, normal. It is said in any normal channel, official or YouTube. We will not invent a football, group."
He added: "By the way, Hossam Haddad Ahlawy. This is a point of no importance, and we are talking about the principle that (speech is normal), but by saying it so that you understand that it is not against Al-Ahly and there is no need."
