Klopp reveals the condition of Mohamed Salah .. "Very disappointed" after the loss to Mane

It is not excluded that the Egyptian international Mohamed Salah will play with his club Liverpool in the match against his guest Leicester City Thursday in the English Premier League, just four days after losing the final of the African Nations Cup against his club colleague Sadio Mane, who will not be present after his return to his country Senegal to celebrate with the title.

Senegal won the final 4-2 on penalties against Egypt in the Cameroonian capital Yaounde on Sunday, to win its first continental title, preventing the Pharaohs from enhancing their record and winning the eighth and first cup for Salah, when Mane scored the decisive fifth kick.

Salah returned to the training center in Liverpool on Tuesday, and the medical team will subject him to evaluation before the match against Leicester on Thursday at "Anfield".

"Mo (Salah) is back and I spoke to him," German coach Jurgen Klopp said in an interview with the club's official website. "He is of course very disappointed, but he is looking forward to all the things that await us here."

"I spoke with him and the first words Mo said to me was 'I'm ready'. He's an experienced player and he's a beast on the physical front, frankly, we have to wait. He'll have a fitness session today and we'll see how he feels tomorrow and later."

Klopp said that Mane is expected to return to Liverpool on Thursday and therefore will miss the match against Leicester.

In this regard, he said that winning the cup "means everything to him, his people, and Senegal and we respect that a lot, and we would not have called him from there, so let them do what they like in these moments because they deserve it."

Liverpool is second in the league, 9 points from leaders Manchester City, but has played less game, while Leicester is tenth.
