Ayumu Hirano, who is expected to win a gold medal in the Beijing Olympics Snowboard Men's Halfpipe, practiced on the course at the venue and said, "I want to express what I have done so far in the real world."

Hirano has won silver medals for the second consecutive tournament since the 2014 Olympic Games, and has been nominated for a gold medal at the Beijing Games.

He also participated in skateboarding at the summer Tokyo tournament, and is attracting attention as a dual wield.

On the 8th, we practiced at the venue "Genting Snow Park" in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, for the qualifying held on the 9th.

At the international tournament in December last year, Hirano succeeded for the first time in the big skill "Triple Cork 1440" that rotates the axis diagonally 3 times vertically and 4 times horizontally, but he has been practicing for the Olympics since then. So, even in the practice on the 8th, I was checking the feel of the big skill for the actual performance.

Hirano said, "I want to express what I've done in the real world. I want to take the plunge without regrets."

He revealed that he was preparing new techniques other than triple cork, and he said, "I would like to do it if I have the opportunity."

Kaishu Hirano, the younger brother of Hirano, who will be participating in the Olympic Games for the first time, responded to the interview and was enthusiastic, saying, "I'm in good shape, so I'd like to start the qualifying session that I'm satisfied with."

The men's and women's qualifying rounds will be held on the 9th, the women's final will be held on the 10th, and the men's final will be held on the 11th.
