Cha Jun-hwan performed his best performance in his second Olympic stage.

His first jump and his main weapon, the 4th round, he performed a clean quadruple salcho, perfectly digested the second triple lutz-triple loop combination jump and the triple axel in the second half with extra points.

He clenched his fists tightly after performing 'clean acting', earning extra points in every element, from delicate facial expressions to quick and flashy spins.

With a score of 99.51, which broke his personal high by 0.55, Cha Jun-hwan finished fourth out of 29.

The possibility of surpassing the 15th in the history of Korean men's record recorded in Pyeongchang has increased.

[Cha Jun-hwan / National figure skating representative: I think I have strengthened myself a lot over the past 4 years and I think I have accumulated a lot of experience.

So I think I could have led today's game a little better.]

Cha Jun-hwan challenges the new history of Korean men's figure skating in the free skating the day after (10th) with a quadruple salcho, toe loop, and two quadruple jumps.

In the match between Nathan Chen and Hanyu, considered one of the biggest matches, Chen overpowered the baseline.

Chen, who perfected the fourth round twice, scored 113.97 points, breaking Hanyu's short world record and taking first place.

[Nathan Chen/USA National Figure Skating Team: It feels really good.

The score is not up to my liking, but I am very satisfied with my performance.]

Hanyu made the mistake of not jumping in the first four rounds at all, and finished in 8th, nearly 19 points behind Chen, turning on a red flag for his three-game winning streak at the Olympics.
