Milan defeats Inter and narrows it down at the top of the Italian League

 Milan overturned its two-goal deficit in front of its host Inter Milan to an exciting 2-1 victory today, Saturday, in the twenty-fourth stage of the Italian Football League.

A goalless draw overshadowed the other match between Roma and its guest Genoa.

At the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, Inter Milan advanced through Ivan Perisic in the 38th minute.

In the second half, the veteran French striker Olivier Giroud played the championship role and responded with two goals for Milan in the 75th and 79th minutes.

Milan ended the match with ten men after Theo Hernandez was sent off in the last seconds.

The win raised Milan's tally to 52 points in second place, only one point behind leaders Inter Milan.

At the Olympic Stadium, the two teams finished the match with ten men, after Leo Ostegaard of Genoa was sent off in the 69th minute and Nicolo Zaniolo of Roma in the last minute.

Roma raised its score to 39 points in sixth place, compared to 14 points for Genoa in the penultimate position.
