“Moroccan Var” leads the Senegal-Egypt match

The arbitration committee of the Confederation of African Football appointed, on Friday, Moroccan referee Adel Zourak, to lead the video assistant technology room “VAR”, in the final match of the African Cup of Nations (Cameroon 2021), which will bring together the Egyptian team with its Senegalese counterpart on Sunday.

According to the Moroccan newspaper, Hespress, Adel Zourak will help lead the "Var" room, each of his compatriots, Bushra Karboubi and Zakaria El-Prince, while the task of managing the match was assigned to the South African referee, Victor Gomez.

Victor Gomez is assisted by his compatriot Zaquel Tosi, Lesotho Soro Batswan and Congolese Jean-Jacques Ndala as fourth referee.

The two African Nations semi-final matches resulted in Senegal and Egypt qualifying for the final match, as the first managed to beat Burkina Faso 3-1, while Egypt defeated Cameroon by penalty shootout 3-1.
