The Egyptian Minister of Sports sets an additional reward for the “Pharaohs” in the event of winning the African Cup

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, announced that an additional ten million pounds will be allocated to his country's national team if it wins the African Nations Cup title, which is currently being held in Cameroon.

The Egyptian team qualified for the final match of the tournament, after defeating its Cameroonian counterpart 3/1 on penalty kicks, after the end of the original time and the extra two minutes with a goalless draw, to meet its Senegalese counterpart the day after tomorrow in the final match.

In statements carried by the official website of the Egyptian Ministry of Sports, Ashraf Sobhi said that he received a call from an Egyptian businessman, who allocated a reward of ten million pounds to the national team players in the event of winning the title.

He explained that the reward that will be offered to the players will be other than the rewards they will receive in accordance with the organizing regulations, expressing his appreciation to all the players for their distinguished appearance and their determination to win to achieve the championship for the eighth time.
