Scotsman David Low tops the Ras Al Khaimah Golf Championship

The contracts of the qualified players for the two decisive rounds of the Ras Al Khaimah Golf Championship, sponsored by Phoenix Capital, one of the tournaments of the "DB World" tour, have been completed.

The qualification of the players who achieved the best positions came at the conclusion of the second round, which was held today at Al Hamra Golf Club.

In the most prominent results, Scotsman David Low scored eight under par to lead the overall standings with a total of 14 under par, while Austrian Nicolae Hoggard scored seven under par to take second place, two behind Low, and Spaniard Adrian Otaygui finished third after finishing the round with a total of 14 under par. 10 strokes below par.

Ahmed Skaik, the top seed for amateur players, ended his career in the tournament by scoring 10 over-par in the second round, while Emirati Ahmed al-Musharkh scored nine over-par.

On the other hand, the DB World Tour announced today that Hero MotoCorp will be the main partner for the upcoming Ras Al Khaimah Team Challenge - which will now be known as the Champions Challenge.

The Champions Challenge is a one-day exhibition event taking place on Tuesday February 8th at Al Hamra Club and will feature 26 teams of two professionals per team playing in nine holes.

The event is being held in preparation for the Ras Al Khaimah Classic, taking place from February 10 to 13, and as part of this agreement, Hero MotoCorp will also be the official partner of the Ras Al Khaimah Classic.
