Emirates Airlines welcomes AC Milan to its pavilion at Expo Dubai

Emirates Airlines, the first partner and official carrier of Expo 2020 Dubai, welcomed the Italian football club AC Milan at its booth at the exhibition.

Milan's delegation was led by Ivan Gazidis, CEO of the Emirates club.

It included a number of senior executives of AC Milan.

Members of the visiting delegation enjoyed interactive experiences of the future of aviation, including embarking on a private flight.

In its pavilion, Emirates Airlines offers 10 immersive futuristic experiences that highlight the best in the field of aviation and the importance of mobility for the world, now and in the future.

Gazidis expressed his happiness at visiting the Emirates pavilion, and said: “The wonderful pavilion embodies the spirit of this brand, which means excellence, innovation and setting new directions. During his tour of the Expo, the CEO of Milan participated in a panel discussion on the future of football and its role in society, and the importance of a new generation of stadiums, highlighting the club's perspective on how sustainable infrastructure can positively impact the game as well as local communities.

The discussion was based on case studies, diving into why the new stadium in the club's city is a critical asset for the future of AC Milan.

The delegation members also visited the UAE and Italy pavilions during their tour of Expo 2020 Dubai.

Milan is one of the most successful clubs in Italy, Europe and on the international scene, winning the Champions League 7 times and the Italian League 18 times.

Emirates’ journey with the club began in 2007, and reached the rank of first sponsor, as the airline’s logo appeared on the “AC Milan” shirt for the first time in the 2010/2011 season. The Emirates Airlines sponsorship of the club will continue until the 2022/2023 season.
