1. FC Heidenheim climbs to third place in the table, at least temporarily.

Coach Frank Schmidt's team beat Hannover 96 3-1 (2-1) at home on Friday evening.

Heidenheimer initially benefited from an early own goal by Niklas Hult (4th), before Tobias Mohr increased (33rd).

For Hannover 96, who are in 13th place in the table, Maximilian Beier was successful (35th), then Mohr restored the old lead (48th).

In front of 4350 spectators, Gael Ondoua tried to clear a cross.

That attempt failed as the centre-back hit Hult in the face.

From there the ball flew over the line.

It was Hannover's first goal against in this calendar year.

The home side continued to put pressure on the flanks and were rewarded for their effort by Mohr.

In return, the Lower Saxony reported back.

Beier's goal was only recognized after viewing the television images.

After the change of sides, the guests lost the ball moving forward. Mohr reacted quickly and scored from almost 40 meters past goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler to make it 3:1.

FC Heidenheim didn't let up in the final phase either, but the Heidenheimers didn't manage to score the fourth goal.

No chance for 1. FC Nürnberg

A desolate 1. FC Nürnberg experienced a very nasty surprise against last-placed FC Ingolstadt when their supporters returned to the Max Morlock Stadium. The Franconians went down on Friday evening against the Ingolstadt team threatened with relegation with 0: 5 (0: 3). The 10,000 spectators, who were allowed again, whistled the "Club" team, who actually wanted to move up to the promotion places, after what was by far the worst performance of the season.

Meanwhile, the few supporters of FC Ingolstadt celebrated their triumphant professionals after goals from Florian Pick (13th minute), Dennis Eckert Ayensa (17th), Filip Bilbija (41st), Patrick Schmidt (49th) and new signing Valmir Sulejmani ( 80.).

Five goals in one game is the best for the Ingolstadt team this season.

The renewed team of coach Rüdiger Rehm can draw some hope in the relegation battle after this great performance despite only 13 points.

In the case of Nuremberg, on the other hand, nothing worked defensively and offensively.

Coach Robert Klauß's team failed collectively and found no attitude towards the game and the dominant opponent.

Nikola Dovedan failed to convert a gift from Ingolstadt to make it 3-1 in injury time in the first half.

According to coach Klauss, the 10,000 spectators allowed again should actually “give energy” to the FCN pros.

But only the strong guests were bursting with energy.
