Morocco coach: Egypt is more experienced, but we have ambition

The coach of the Moroccan national team, Vahid Halilhodzic, said that there is a great historical competition between the Moroccan and Egyptian football, noting that parity has characterized direct confrontations between the two sides in the last thirty years.

Egypt and Morocco meet tomorrow in the quarter-finals of the African Nations Cup, which is currently being held in Cameroon.

Halilhodzic explained in the press conference held today, Saturday: "This group is hungry and dedicated to going far in the competition, there is a great competition against Egypt, because I know the history of confrontations between the two sides, in the last 30 years there has been parity."

He added, "Egypt is more experienced, but from our side we have the ambition."

He said, "The technical staff and players are excited to go far in this tournament. They are able to overcome the Pharaohs' obstacle in tomorrow's match, provided they focus."

Halilhodzic added that the Egypt national team match will not be easy, noting that he will face an organized team, which has great experience at the African level.

The Bosnian coach pointed out that the Moroccan national team has young players who want to provide a good level and make the Moroccan fans happy.
