Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi witnesses the launch of the second phase of the Sharjah Tour

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Muhammad bin Humaid bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development in Sharjah witnessed the launch of the second phase of the seventh Sharjah International Cycling Tour, held under the slogan “50 Years in the Love of Sultan”, in the presence of Issa Hilal Al Hezami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, and Abdul Latif Al Fardan, Board Member of the Sharjah Sports Council.

The second stage race started at eleven in the morning in front of “Shomoos” real estate and ended at the Maliha Cultural and Sports Club, for a distance of 96 km. Moroccan cyclist Anas Al-Abdiyya from the Al Shafar Jumeirah team won the stage title, followed by Hamza Mansouri from the Algerian team, then Slovenian Paul Grega from Ahly youth.

The local youth circumnavigation started at nine in the morning at the same starting and ending points, but for a distance of 71 km. Ahmed Ali from Abu Dhabi Club won first place, followed by Sultan Sarbaz from Sharjah Club, then Obaid Al Shamsi from Al Hamriya Club.  

The Slovenian Paul Griga (Shabab Al-Ahly) leads the tour with a time of 2.11.08 hours, the second Australian Monk Cyrus from the Mayo Taiwan team with a time of 2.11.11 hours, and the third Spaniard Pascual Bonhomme from the Bahrain Academy with a time of 2.11.14 hours.


As for the youth tawaf, the general ranking is led by Yousef Ibrahim Al-Rifai from Khorfakkan Club, the second is Obaid Al Shamsi from Al Hamriya Club, and the third is Ahmed Ali from Abu Dhabi Club.

: the first, Anas Al Abdia (Al Shafar Jumeirah), scored 1.59.50 hours, the second Hamza Mansouri (Algeria team) scored 1.59.50 hours, and the third Paul Greiga (Al Ahly youth) scored 1.59.50 hours.

As for the Excellence Shirts, Paul Grega won the yellow shirt under the auspices of the Commerce and Tourism Development Authority and the green one sponsored by Sharjah Media City “Shams”, Anas Al Abdiya won the red shirt sponsored by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hamza Mansouri won the white shirt sponsored by the Sharjah Government Media Office, and Youssef won Mirza on the Emirates shirt dedicated to the best time for the citizens.



The Youth Tawaf

: The first Ahmed Ali (Abu Dhabi Club) scored 1.50.33 hours, the second Sultan Sarbaz (Sharjah Club) scored 1.50.33, and the third Obaid Al Shamsi from Al Hamriya Club scored 1.50.33 hours.


As for the Excellence Shirts, Yousef Ibrahim Al-Rifai (Khorfakkan) won the yellow and white shirts, Ahmed Ali (Abu Dhabi) the green shirt, Saud Al-Marzouqi (Sharjah) the red shirt, and Obaid Al Shamsi (Al-Hamriya) the Emirates flag shirt.
