With less than a week before the opening of the Beijing Olympics, the ski and snowboard venues in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, are steadily developing courses that are mostly made of artificial snow.

At the Beijing Olympics, which will start on the 4th of next month, skiing and snowboarding will be held at Zhangjiakou in Hebei Province, which is adjacent to Beijing, of which ski freestyle and snowboarding will be held at "Gentin Snow Park".

Snow was seen at a depth of about 5 cm at the venue, but according to Mr. Wang Seido, who is in charge of maintenance, about 90% of the course is made of artificial snow.

With 40 staff members taking two shifts, day and night, for 24 hours, the ski freestyle moguls and snowboard halfpipe courses are almost complete.

In each course, the people concerned carefully checked the slip condition of the snow and the size of the hump.

In addition, the passage leading to the venue was seen to be prepared using machines, and preparations were being made steadily for the actual production.

"We have been using more than 100 machines to improve the venue. We are already ready for the players to practice. No worries," said Wang Se-do.

Moguls will be practiced at this venue on the 30th.
