It has previously been reported that SHL's former points king, Slovak national team center Marek Hrivik, 30, was close to joining Leksand already this season.
Leksand are of course interested in a solution already now, but according to information to SVT Sport, the club has no great hopes of landing Hrivik before the transfer window closes.
The reason is according to information to SVT Sport that his current club in the KHL still hopes to reach the playoffs.
Instead, all focus is on finding a longer contract starting from next season.
There is great support for this recruitment in Leksand and many strong sponsors support the entrepreneurship from the sports director Thomas Johansson.
According to information to SVT sport, the contact with Hrivik will now be intensified and concretized.
The Slovak played in Leksand 2019–2021 but from this season represents Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the Russian KHL.
