Every day, Anicet Mbida makes us discover an innovation that could well change the way we consume.

This Thursday, he is interested in a device capable of recreating almost anything that is drunk, which was created by the startup Cana Technology.

We knew syrups and soda machines.

Now, we go much further since there is a “beverage printer”.

That is to say, a device capable of recreating almost anything that is drunk.

You have to imagine a machine the size of a toaster.

We program her for a drink of her choice.

We press a button.

And she gets you coffee, a cocktail, wine, coke… Any drink.

It is the startup Cana Technology which has just revealed this machine to the public.

The company had been operating in the submarine for 4 years to complete its research and development.

And it has just presented its first prototype.

How is it possible to make both wine and coffee with the same machine?

You should know that most drinks are composed of 90 or even 95% water.

Their engineers therefore set out to decode the 5 to 10% that remains on hundreds of commercial drinks.

And apparently they managed to identify and isolate the components that determine their flavor and aroma.

They then concentrated them into cartridges like a printer.

And have developed a technique to perfectly dilute these components in water and recreate the original drink.

And does it really work?

Have you tasted?

No unfortunately, because the presentation was by videoconference.

But American colleagues, who were there, apparently tried iced coffee, mojito and root beer.

And according to them, it was rather similar… even if they found the taste much more pronounced than that of the original drink.

The company has huge ambitions.

It targets both individuals and bars and restaurants, highlighting the ecological argument.

It is true that there will be no more bottles to transport since the drink is produced directly where it is consumed.

Remember all the same the marketing power of the giants of the sector (Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Pernod Ricard).

The startup will probably have to make a pact with them to ensure that it tastes exactly the same as the most popular drinks… If, of course, this technology works.
