Another Korean Sports Council employee tested positive today at the Jincheon Athlete's Village, where three confirmed cases were confirmed until yesterday (26th).

In particular, this confirmed patient heightened anxiety as he was an employee who frequently contacts players regardless of sport.

The sports club, whose insteps fell on fire, decided to expel about 300 players and coaches from the summer events who were training in Jincheon early.

[Korea Sports Association official: If it spreads from the players side, if it spreads, you can't stop it, right?

Since I was going out on Sunday anyway, I recommended pulling out two or three days earlier.]

Currently, only 29 short track and women's curling athletes remain in the athletes' village, continuing their last-minute training for the Beijing Olympics.

Fortunately, there have been no confirmed cases of players yet, but there is tension in the training ground.

Speed skating and figure skating athletes are training in Taereung and snow and sledding athletes in Pyeongchang under strict quarantine.

Meanwhile, in Beijing, the Athletes' Village opened eight days before the opening day.

Athletes live in an apartment-type athlete village equipped with a strict quarantine system, undergo daily corona tests, and are only allowed to move to training grounds and stadiums.
