Today, the Egyptian national team will face Côte d'Ivoire in the round of 16 in the African Cup of Nations currently being held in Cameroon.

 For his part, Egypt's ambassador to Cameroon, Medhat El-Meligy, confirmed the attendance of 300 Egyptian fans to Cameroon to support the Pharaohs against Cote d'Ivoire.

El-Meligy said, in televised statements, that the match stadium was reassured by following up on some reforms before hosting the match.

 The results of medical smears conducted by the delegation of the national team in the Cameroonian city of Douala, in preparation for the meeting with Côte d'Ivoire, showed that all samples of the members of the mission were negative.
