Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hwang Hee will represent the Korean government at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics to be held in Beijing, China from February 4 to 20.



The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided today (25th) to entrust the delegation to Minister Hwang after considering the 'class' of the delegation after President Moon Jae-in's absence from the Olympics was decided by the Blue House and the government.

Separately from the government delegation, National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seok visited China on February 3-6 at the invitation of Li Zhansu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China, to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics and encourage the Korean delegation.



During his visit to China to commemorate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties with China, Chairman Park will also attend a luncheon hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping and hold a meeting with his compatriots.
