The 12 professional baseball teams will increase the number of PCR tests that athletes and others receive twice a week to prevent new coronavirus infection during the camp next month, and will become close contacts based on their own standards. We have decided to take measures such as identifying and isolating potential people.

On the 24th, NPB = Nippon Professional Baseball held an online representative meeting of 12 baseball teams to discuss infection control measures during the camp period to be held next month.

As a result, the number of PCR tests that athletes and staff receive during the period has been increased from the conventional once a week to twice a week due to the spread of infection with the new coronavirus.

In addition, if an infected person appears, we will set our own criteria to confirm the behavior up to 72 hours before the positive reaction, and identify the person who may be a close contact without waiting for the judgment of the health center. I did.

The identified person will be isolated from the team for 6 days and can join the team if the PCR test shows two negatives.

The NPB has set out a policy of including spectators for spring camps, and also requires each team to clearly separate the flow lines of players and spectators.
