Breakin's All Japan Championship, which will be held as a new competition for the Paris Olympics next year, has begun in Tokyo, and top athletes from Japan who are aiming to participate in the Olympics performed sharp dances in the qualifying.

Breakin, which was adopted as a new competition at the Paris Olympics, is a dance sport commonly known as breakdancing, in which dances are performed alternately one-on-one to music, competing for skills and expressiveness.



The third All Japan Championship began on the 22nd at the venue in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, with no spectators due to measures against infection with the new coronavirus.



In the qualifying on the 22nd, 19-year-old Shigeyuki Hanai, a boy who is 18 years old or older and aims to win the championship following the previous tournament, showed off a dynamic rotation technique that makes use of his high physical ability, and 3 races. I decided to advance to the semi-finals with all the wins.



Hanai said, "I've been able to dance comfortably since the qualifying. I've done what I can do, so I want to enjoy tomorrow and dance with the feeling that I'm going to have a big explosion."



As for girls, 38-year-old Ayumi Fukushima, who won the world championship last year, and Ami Yuasa, 23-year-old who won the previous tournament, advanced to the semi-finals.



The semi-finals and finals will be held on the 23rd.
