Guardiola: My future will be decided at the end of the season .. I will not deceive the City

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has said he may make a decision about his future at the end of the season, but has made it clear that he will not "cheat" his club, the Premier League leaders.

Guardiola, who took charge in 2016, has a contract until the end of the 2022-2023 season.

"I'm not good enough to think about the long term," Guardiola told reporters ahead of Saturday's league game against Southampton.

"My future is always determined by the results, so we will play against Southampton and we will have some rest, and then at the end of the season we will see what happens."

"He (the club) has given me everything, so I can't cheat on him or do anything wrong with him."

Guardiola is heading towards leading City to win the league title for the fourth time in five years, and he has also won the League Cup and the Federation Cup four times.

City leads the league by 11 points from its closest rivals after 22 rounds.

"Together we made the decisions about my coming here and extending the contract on two occasions, and we will do the same now. It is about the feelings of the club towards me, and about how I feel for myself and the club," the Spanish coach said.

"I feel good and I feel relaxed. When I don't have the energy and I feel tired and tired, I am sure to leave, but at the moment I have positive feelings."
