The Iranian national team forward will start playing for the German team from the 2022/23 season.
The 27-year-old striker will sign a contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2027, according to the press service of the team from Leverkusen.
This season, Azmoun has played 21 matches in all competitions and scored ten goals.
The Iranian's contract with Zenit expires in the summer of 2022.
Earlier it was reported that Azmun will remain at Zenit until the end of the season.
