10 thousand contestants in the "Expo Running" race (video)

The "Expo 2020 Dubai" running race, which was held this morning with the support of the Dubai Sports Council, witnessed a wide community participation of more than 10,000 competitors of different nationalities, ages and fitness levels, in an affirmation of the diversity and inclusiveness of the international event. 

The contestants set out in front of the Qatari pavilion in the sustainability area on Mangrove Street, passing through the "Terra" pavilions, Singapore, the Netherlands, Spain, Al Sidr Street, the Emirates Pavilion and Al Wasl Square.

The large participation of various groups of society and nationalities came as an affirmation of the support for this unique event and its societal values ​​aimed at motivating members of the community to practice sports and make it a way of life. The 3 km race witnessed a wide participation of families and children.

The race was held in 3 categories, 3, 5 and 10 km, and the participants set out in groups of 500 participants each, with the aim of maintaining distance and adhering to health measures.
