The UAE national wheelchair basketball team camped in Khorfakkan

On Friday, the UAE wheelchair basketball team started its internal camp in Khorfakkan, which will be held until January 31, in preparation for the upcoming regional and international competitions, led by the West Asian Championship to be held in Bahrain from February 18 to 28.


The coach of the national wheelchair basketball team, Ahmed Jassim, said in a press statement: "The current gathering represents one of several camps that the basketball team will go through in preparation for the upcoming events, whether the West Asian Championship in Bahrain, up to the most important maturity in the World Championships. The Wheelchair Basket, which the UAE will host next November.


He added: "19 players were selected from the state clubs for the Khorfakkan camp, in a mixture that combines new talents and elements of news, provided that at the end of the camp, 12 players will be selected to represent the team in the Bahrain Championship."


He continued, "It is currently being arranged for another internal or external camp, which includes playing friendly matches, to ensure the team's readiness for the tournament in an optimal way, and allows the "White" wheelchair basket to have honorable representation.
