This tournament was held for the first time by integrating the Paralympic Alpine and Nordic, which had been held separately, and the Snowboard World Championship, and many athletes aiming for medals at the Beijing Paralympics in March have participated. ..



On the 21st, a snowboard cross was held in which multiple athletes skated at the same time on a course with humps and curves to compete for ranking.



In the class with disabilities, Oiwane, who has been appointed as the representative of the Beijing Paralympics, won the qualifying round on the previous day in 2nd place, and on the 21st, he won the quarterfinals and semifinals in which a group of 4 people competed in 1st place. I passed and proceeded to the final.



In the final, four players competed, and Oiwane was late at the start to chase after him, and then gradually increased his speed to catch up with the other players, but he lost his balance on the curve at the end of the course and fell. And I was in 4th place.



Oiwane did not reach the medal at this tournament, but together with Banked Slalom, he finished 4th in both of the two races he participated in, giving momentum to the Paralympic Games in March for the first time.



Also, in the class with a disability, Takahito Ichikawa lost in the semi-final and went to the ranking match to finish 5th.



Keiji Okamoto of the same class and Junta Kosuda of the class with severe foot disabilities lost in the quarterfinals.



Shinji Tabuchi, a class with a disability in his leg, was eliminated in the qualifying session the day before.
