Modo was strongest in the summit in the Hockeyallsvenskan against HV71.

After a goalless first period, it was the home team that scored the first goal of the match.

Markus Modigs gave Modo the lead with 1-0 after a nice preparation by Sam Vigneault.

A few minutes later, HV got the chance to play five against three.

And the league leader took advantage of that situation.

Fredrik Forsberg played forward Chad Billins who equalized with a direct shot.

Modo then regained the lead.

With 15 seconds left in the second period, points king Riley Woods was able to put 2-1 for the home team.

Modo then started the third period in the best way.

After 57 seconds of play, Erik Karlsson decided the match when he put Modo 3-1.

- We are better for sixty minutes and fight the whole match, says Modos Tex Williamsson to C More.

HV71 still leads the Hockeyallsvenskan.

But is now only three points ahead of Modo who is second.
