She is now in Sweden with the children and resting with the family.

"Under the circumstances, we are okay, but of course it was traumatic and scary for both me and my small children."

Victor Nilsson Lindelöf has also accompanied him to Sweden and his coach Ralf Rangnick announced during the day that he will miss Saturday's match.

Lindelöf had a long conversation with the coach

- I talked to him the whole plane home from London and also this morning.

We talked for 20-25 minutes and he told me what had happened.

It was of course a traumatic experience for him and especially for his wife and children.

He feels that he does not want to leave his family alone, which I as a father of two can really understand.

We decided together that he will not be in the match tomorrow, Rangnick says about the incident at the press conference before the match against West Ham according to the Football Channel.

The incident is the latest in a series of high-profile burglaries by footballers in the UK.

In March, the Swedish national team goalkeeper Robin Olsen was robbed in his home.

He was then forced to hand over valuables under knife and machete threats.

- It is something we are still working on and that we want to put behind us, Olsen said about the event with a six-month distance.
