The sisters Öberg, Sebastian Samuelsson and most of the other Swedish Olympic biathletes have chosen to stand over the World Cup competitions in Antholz.

Instead, they charge before the Olympics in Beijing in Livigno.

Then, as usual, it was very Norwegian at the top of the results list on the distance, but the victory was Russian.

Anton Babikov was a disappointment, however.

It meant the career's second World Cup victory, over five years after the first that came to Östersund in December 2016.

- It feels great to show this today, says Babikov who has been selected for the Olympics as a reserve.

Second came Tarjei Bö and third came Babikov's compatriot Said Karimulla Khalili.

The Swedish colors were defended by Malte Stefansson, Oskar Brandt, Gabriel Stegmayr and Simon Hallström.

- It went pretty well the first lap, but then one really caught up.

I went on world highscore then.

I look blurred now, says the Olympic-selected Stefansson who shot a full eight booms.

The competition is ongoing.
