  "Low-carbon Winter Olympics" refers to the full use of renewable energy power generation technology, building energy-saving technology, and recycling technology during the construction of Winter Olympic venues and the holding of events to minimize the carbon emissions caused by Olympic events.

  On June 23, 2019, the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, the Beijing Municipal Government and the Hebei Provincial Government jointly issued the "Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics Low-Carbon Management Work Plan".

The plan proposes specific goals for low-carbon energy, low-carbon venues, low-carbon transportation, and low-carbon standards.

  The Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee has formulated 18 measures for the above four aspects to reduce the carbon emissions generated by the Beijing Winter Olympics as much as possible.
