[Beijing Winter Olympics] Winter Olympics epidemic prevention "black technology": can detect the new crown virus in the air

[Commentary] How does the aerosol new coronavirus nucleic acid detection system help epidemic prevention during the Winter Olympics?

On January 18, the reporter visited the Beijing Bioaerosol Testing Laboratory.

It is reported that the system consists of two parts: an aerosol collector and a new coronavirus nucleic acid detector. It can carry out virus monitoring, early warning and rapid detection of the air with high detection sensitivity.

Our entire system is composed of two parts, because the content of the new coronavirus in aerosols in the air must be very low, and it must be lower than that of the patient's throat, so this requires our entire system to be more sensitive. Including the aerosols here, its enrichment efficiency is high, and it can enrich the aerosols in the air.

After enrichment, our detection (system) must be very sensitive so that a very small amount of virus can be detected.

[Explanation] After layers of selection, the bioaerosol new coronavirus nucleic acid detection system was identified as one of the "Science and Technology Winter Olympics" projects.

During the game, it is expected that aerosol collectors will be arranged in multiple venues of the Winter Olympics to provide aerosol new coronavirus detection guarantees for the Winter Olympics.

There are a series of policies such as the detection of personnel nucleic acid, the detection of environmental surfaces such as smeared test strips, and the closed-loop management of disinfection.

Our technology is used as a link in the entire large technical system to detect the air, not directly detecting people, but detecting the new coronavirus in the air, which plays a role in early warning or early detection of epidemic flames. .

[Explanation] During the Beijing Winter Olympics test competition, the detection system has carried out aerosol sampling and testing in competition venues such as the Capital Gymnasium and the National Speed Skating Stadium.

Through the application and verification of the test competition, the detection system has been optimized accordingly, which is more in line with the requirements of the Winter Olympics competition scene.

To be able to really apply this, it is not only about the technology itself, but also in the context of this kind of competition, it involves a lot of work, including how to allocate personnel, how to collect samples, and how to safely hand over , and then how to feed back the results and a series of chain things.

Therefore, during the Olympics (test competition), on the one hand, we tested the validity and reliability of our detection method; on the other hand, we explored a way to effectively cooperate with each venue.

[Explanation] Up to now, more than 200 technologies have been tested and used in the Winter Olympics scene, involving fields such as information engineering and software engineering, public safety, high-definition video, 5G and new energy.
