Al-Faraj injury keeps him away from the Saudi national team and threatens his participation in the Club World Cup

Al Hilal announced on Tuesday the absence of its captain, Salman Al-Faraj, for three weeks, and thus it was confirmed his absence from the two matches of the Saudi national team against Oman and Japan in the seventh and eighth rounds of the final Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Al-Faraj is expected to miss the FIFA Club World Cup in the UAE between February 3 and 12.

Al-Faraj joined the list of injured in Al-Hilal, which includes Muhammad Al-Buraik, who continues his rehabilitation program, and South Korean defender Jang Hyun-soo is conducting his treatment and rehabilitation program, which extends for a week.

The Saudi team leads its group in the Asian qualifiers and is close to qualifying for the World Cup in Qatar, after it scored 16 points from six matches (five wins and a draw) at the top of the group.
